On the hunt for the transition point
How many more warning signs do we need before we commit more wholeheartedly to sustainable fuels?
At the start of this century, our fear was peak oil. And rightly so. Historic oil-producing regions such as Montana were heralding the end of operations for many oil derricks. Malthusian thinking was making a major comeback, fuelled by fears of a global population explosion devouring its resources. We were afraid of suffering the fate of Easter Island, or, to be more in keeping with the times, a Mad Max-style fate.

SoTic 2025: About Pulsating a 1200°C Hydrogen Flame in the Cold and Other Stories
CBOne is attending the 2025 Symposium on Thermoacoustics in Combustion, in Trondheim, Norway, 8-11 September 2025 - where we will present our recent works carried out with the Siren E (energy) model. This will allow us to highlight the key features of this proprietary technology and its use in two combustion cases: one where thermoacoustic coupling is desired to enhance the combustion performance (BLUETIFUEL study) and one where it is feared (MOeBIUS.H study).
- Fabrice Giuliani will present the following paper on Wednesday 09.09 at 11:40, room Nardo/Lilleby: Forced pulsed flow regime for developing and possibly operating innovative, high-performance, low-emission burners. F. Giuliani, A. Hofer, N. Paulitsch, A. Sigg, J. Hofer, M. Dielacher, L. Andracher.

CBOne launches www.matosha.at (mathematics to shapes)
The www.matosha.at platform is now open to the public, and we at Combustion Bay one e.U. are delighted to be able to offer it.
In short, Matosha is digital plastiline!
Before you know it, you'll be creating amazingly beautiful 3D objects with stunning curves that you can print straight away using your 3D printer. Access to matosha is free. If you have any comments or suggestion, please send them to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
You'll find a tutorial at the end of this article.

The Ring Of Fire (ASME Turbo Expo 2025, Memphis, Tenessee)
CBOne is proud to announce its participation at the in the ASME Turbo Expo 2025 in Memphis, TN —one of the premier global events for gas turbine technologies.
With more than a quarter century of specialized experience in combustion engineering, CBOne will be presenting its groundbreaking MOeBIUS technology: a compact, robust combustion system engineered for aviation and optimized for both conventional and non-conventional fuels such as hydrogen.
At the heart of MOeBIUS lies a recursive sequential combustion strategy designed to achieve ultra-lean burn conditions in an compact combustor for aviation. The technology directly addresses aviation’s growing demand for fuel flexibility, low emissions, and combustion stability—critical pillars for next-generation propulsion systems.
CBOne is advancing toward Technology Readiness Level 4, bridging the gap between laboratory research and real-world validation. Our work builds on a solid foundation of patented innovations.
Meet us in Memphis to explore how MOeBIUS can redefine combustion system design for cleaner, more resilient flight technologies. You can reach out via LinkedIn or through the conference hub.
CBOne is pleased to be present

CBOne celebrates her 13th anniversary at the EUROTURBO 2025 / EVI-GTI conference!
We are very happy to be presenting our company to our peers in gas turbine technology on 27 March 2025 at the EUROTURBO conference in Hannover. We will be taking part in the EVI-GTI panel (gas turbine instrumentation).
We'll have the opportunity to talk about our results from the crystAIr project, where we're evaluating monitoring techniques using artificial intelligence, compared with conventional monitoring of hydrogen combustion.

Oh yes, that's right: on the same day, CBOne will be 13 years old!!! She has an interesting cake (picture) and she's an interesting teenager J
